Jackie Kimzey, Chairman - Jackie Kimzey is a general partner at Sevin Rosen Funds, a top-tier venture capital firm with a track record of funding successful companies since 1981. Jackie joined Sevin Rosen Funds in 1999 after nearly 20 years as an executive at wireless carrier and service provider companies. He brings a keen understanding of what it takes for a promising venture to evolve into a successful business and company. He has held management positions at the semiconductor manufacturer Mostek and was also co-founder and CEO of wireless provider ProNet. He helped develop proprietary products, generated "turn-around" strategies, recruited top executives, and played key roles in mergers and acquisitions. At Sevin Rosen Funds, Jackie applies his experience and entrepreneurial perspective to young companies in the wireless and software arena, including airBand, Airimba, GlobeRanger, Inner Wireless, LiveVault, MetroFi, Verified Person and Wayport. He has a bachelor’s of business administration degree and a master’s of science degree from Abilene Christian University and a master’s of business administration from the University of Dallas.
John Sculley - John Sculley is a venture partner with Rho Ventures. He began working with Rho in the late 1990s prior to joining as a venture partner in 2004. Before joining Rho, John worked at Sculley Brothers LLC, a private investment firm that he founded in 1995. Previously, John was CEO of Apple Computer from 1983 until 1993. For the five years prior to joining Apple, John was president and CEO of Pepsi. John received an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. Ira Brind - Ira Brind has been the president and co-founder of Brind-Lindsay & Co. Inc., a private equity and venture capital firm, since June 1987. He has also held the position of chief executive officer and president of McDonnell Douglas Truck Services, a truck leasing company. Mr. Brind is currently the chairman of the Board of Trustees of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, vice chairman of the Board of Trustees of University of the Arts, member of the Board of Trustees of the Wistar Institute, the Connelly Foundation, Thomas Jefferson University and the Jefferson Health System.
Habib Kairouz - Habib is a managing partner of Rho Capital Partners and Rho Ventures and serves on the investment committee of Rho Fund Investors and Rho Canada. Prior to joining Rho in 1993, he worked in investment banking and leveraged buyout in New York with Reich & Co. and Jesup & Lamont. He received an MBA from Columbia University. Brian Schipper - Schipper is currently the head of global HR for Groupon. Previously, he served as senior vice president of human resources for Cisco Systems Inc. from 2007 until 2011; Schipper led the Human Resources function for $35 billion Cisco Systems Inc. Prior to joining Cisco, Schipper led HR for Microsoft's Platforms and Services, Andor Capital Management and DoubleClick in New York. He also held HR positions for PepsiCo and spent eight years at Compaq Computer Corp. Schipper has a bachelor's degree from Hope College and an MBA from Michigan State University.
